MOBILIZE Virtual 2020

MOBILIZE is going virtual! Join us as we come together in this unprecedented year to build collective action for the next decade. 2020 is a pivotal year to reimagine a new normal, with systems and policies to make cities around the world more sustainable, fair, and livable.

The urgency of this change has been illustrated by both the global pandemic, which has exposed the fragility and inequities in our cities, and the reckoning around race and justice manifested in protests in cities in the US and around the world. Through collective action and redefining institutional frameworks around what we value: accessible public health, safe and accessible streets and neighborhoods, clean air, and regulating cars and freight, we can set the foundation for sustainable futures.

MOBILIZE Virtual will allow more people to attend and for greater inclusivity. We are revising our registration fee structure to help ensure that. We will convene over hundreds of experts on sustainable transport virtually. Attendees include leading mobility experts, high level government officials, development bank representatives, academics, and civil society members.

About MOBILIZE

The MOBILIZE summit celebrates the accomplishments of the Sustainable Transport Award winning city. Each year, the Institute for Transportation and Development brings together global leaders in the international sustainable transport sector to observe world-class project implementation, share research, and build a network of resources to replicate effective, equitable, and low-carbon sustainable transport systems in cities worldwide.

Through a series of interactive activities, including plenaries, a keynote address, breakout panels, interactive workshops, and site visits, the summit highlights real-world experiences of neighborhoods, communities, and cities from around the

world. Evening cultural events provide attendees a chance to connect with both high-level transport researchers, practitioners, and local government community leaders.
