Noluthando Mthimkulu is an urban planner researcher from South Africa. She is passionate about efficient and resilient cities, spatial transformation and equal access to resources. She is a recipient of the Mail and Guardian top 200 South Africans to watch for 2019. Her primary area of expertise includes research and policy recommendations in environmental and urban matters. The scope of her work has involved the benchmarking of just transition, climate change and labour market policies recommended by United Nations agencies and programmes. She has worked for the South African Cities Network in South Africa and the International Labour Organisation. She facilitated workshops to train teams on new ways of design thinking and conflict resolution methodologies.
