University of Oxford Transport Studies Unit
Paola Castañeda is a historian, geographer, and cycling activist. She is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Oxford’s School of Geography and the Environment and Transport Studies Unit, and associate researcher at Laboratorio de Cambio Social (Santiago, Chile). She has conducted research in Colombia, Mexico, and Chile, studying cycling politics, cultures, and resistance. Her work is inspired by the notion of ‘mobility justice’ and decolonial feminist readings of transportation and the city.
