Diego Del Moral - Colectivo de Diseño Disruptivo, Mexico, Mexico City
There are no effective, sustainable public policies without citizen participation. Considering locals facilitate the understanding of needs, vulnerabilities and socio-cultural dynamics of communities. The spectrum is wide-- listening to different perspectives at strategic stages of a project, co-designing new interventions with citizens, focus groups and interviews, a call for collective action, neighborhood meetings, and social media campaigns to spread the word. All these activities have something in common: the way in which citizens experience their participation and that in turn affects process and outcomes. This workshop will focus on a human-centred approach to design and facilitation of meetings, events and experiences.
In this workshop participants will:
● Understand and practice main principles of a successful user-focused experience for engaging citizens in sustainable mobility systems and policy development.
● Discuss a case study and co-design a participatory activity using an Experience Design Canvas.
