Description

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of goods movement in supporting livelihoods, but at the same time has demonstrated inequalities in access to goods, logistics sector labor participation, and risk exposure from freight activities. More and more, our cities are grappling with their dependence on freight activities, and mitigating road safety risks and poor air quality within the overcrowded street environment. This session will bring together a panel of experts from around the world to discuss the role, challenges and frameworks of goods movement in supporting populations, local and regional economies.
