Description
How to put pedestrians first? There are a lot of answers to that question, and ITDP’s new suite of online tools can help you find them. These tools - called Pedestrians First - use babies, toddlers, and their caregivers as a lens to focus on the most important topics for walking in cities all over the world. They are tools for street design, neighborhood improvement, transit systems, and citywide planning. Working in small groups, we’ll use these tools to answer questions about walkability in Addis Ababa. After the session, you’ll know how to use Pedestrians First to improve walkability in your city.
In this session the participants will:
- Understand the Pedestrians First tools and how they can be used to measure and improve walkability.
- Apply the tools in specific context and discuss how you would use them in your city
